Middle School Science for 2023 has started off with a challenge! To build the tallest structure of the class that can support a giant marshmallow using only the materials provided.

Our students' sporting success doesn't stop when they step outside the school gates for the summer. From Cricket to Gliding to Rowing, Twizel Area School is always proud of our students' achievements win, lose or draw!

Most of us know that good nutrition habits benefit our bodies. But did you know that nutrition and learning are connected? Proper nutrition ensures students have the nutrients needed to learn at their best all day long!

The Dental Bus arrives at school next week - the Dental Nurses will be seeing enrolled students in Years 1-8.

Don't forget your sunhat or drink bottle! Sunhats are a compulsory item for students in years 1-6 during Terms 1 & 4, please make sure they are named. Water bottles are also essential to make sure students can keep hydrated during the school day.

As of January 2023, passwords will no longer be required to access the Parent Web Portal or SchoolBridge app. Caregivers can use the Magic Link option or the Google / Microsoft sign-in if you have registered one of those accounts with the school office.

If you missed the cut-off to purchase your school stationery through OfficeMax MySchool, don't panic, school stationery lists for 2023 are available to download here. You can purchase online or in-store at a stationery retailer of your choice. 📝📐🎒

As part of Room 13 students' term 4 topic on Antarctica, the whole class has been involved in making a fantastic 3D papier-mâché Antarctic map. 🐧 🧊 In the final, full week of school for the year, it has been completed. Ka pai to everyone for their hard work!

M4 ākonga have completed their Goldfield Projects this week, after visiting Cromwell earlier this term to deepen their understanding of the consequences of the 1860’s gold discoveries in Otago. ⛏️ 🌟 Students shared their projects with Juniors who were very interested in a fascinating period of New Zealand history.
