Technology at Twizel Area School encompasses Food, Fabric, Digital, Design, and Hard Materials.

Middle School Students from Year 7 are able to have a taste of each of the Technology subjects as part of their Option choices before going on to study NCEA in Year 11.

Technology is intervention by design through the exploration and application of specialist skills and knowledge. Twizel Area School offers the study of Technology in the areas of Design & Visual Communication, Digital Technology, Food Technology, Materials Technology - Fabrics and Hard Materials Technology. We foster students’ innovation and creativity within these technological practices. In addition to gaining practical skills, students hone their analytical and critical thinking in these subjects.
