The NZ Area School Leadership Camp offers students a unique opportunity to develop leadership and teamwork skills in a challenging and supportive environment. Held at Wainui, this camp brings together students from various Area Schools across the country, providing the chance to work and bond with peers they haven’t met before. Throughout the week, students participate in activities that push them beyond their comfort zones, from high ropes and coasteering to raft making and low ropes courses. These activities are designed to build confidence, improve communication, and foster teamwork.

In addition to the adventure-based challenges, the camp places a strong focus on leadership development. Students are encouraged to take initiative, collaborate, and solve problems as a group. By participating in icebreakers, adrenaline-pumping tasks like the giant swing, and working together to overcome obstacles, they build not only physical resilience but also essential interpersonal skills that will benefit them in both academic and social settings.

Attending the NZ Area School Leadership Camp allows students to grow as individuals, develop key leadership abilities, and make lasting connections with peers from other schools, all while having fun and pushing their limits.
