Reader/Writers for Special Assessment ConditionsA Reader/Writer has an important role at Twizel Area School, especially during internal assessments, derived grade exams, and the end-of-year NCEA external examinations. Your assistance makes a big difference to these students’ lives. The role of a Reader/Writer is to assist students with learning difficulties, helping them demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a way that overcomes their challenges during assessment activities for both internal and external examinations and practice assessments.You may be reading the activity brief or questions for the candidate, writing for the candidate, or reading and writing for the candidate.This is a paid position through NZQA during NCEA external examinations in November/December. However, we require Readers/Writers throughout the year, and outside of NCEA externals, this will be a voluntary role. During this time, we will show our appreciation with a petrol or supermarket voucher.Please be advised that potential Reader/Writers will be required to undergo a Police Vet unless you have one on file at Twizel Area School; you can check the expiry date by contacting the school office.
