Reader/Writers for Special Assessment ConditionsA Reader/Writer has an important role at Twizel Area School, especially during internal assessments, derived grade exams, and the end-of-year NCEA external examinations. Your assistance makes a big difference to these students’ lives. The role of a Reader/Writer is to assist students with learning difficulties, helping them demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a way that overcomes their challenges during assessment activities for both internal and external examinations and practice assessments.You may be reading the activity brief or questions for the candidate, writing for the candidate, or reading and writing for the candidate.RemunerationThis is a paid position through NZQA during NCEA external examinations in November/December. Exam Supervisors and Reader/Writers (Exam Assistants) are paid $100 per exam session (4 hours), plus there is a paid training ($100 for Supervisors - estimated 4h session and $50 for Exam Assistants - 2h session).However, we require Readers/Writers throughout the year, and outside of NCEA externals, this will be a voluntary role.
