Welcome to Term 2 | Friday 29th April 2022
Kia ora e te whānau,

I hope this quick newsletter finds you well and ready for the return to school on Monday?

Included in this newsletter is:
  • a letter from the Ministry of Education regarding returning to school for Term 2
  • an article with some tips for parents with students returning to school if you’ve been away or isolating towards the end of Term 1
  • upcoming dates for your calendar - many of the postponements from Term 1 will be occurring in Term 2, so there is quite a lot of information to share
  • our current covid protection framework document

I’m looking forward to seeing all our students again when we return on Monday, and being able to have some small assemblies next term. It is really important that we commence with returning our learners to their normal routine as quickly as we are able. I would encourage you to ensure your child is meeting the 90% attendance requirement in Term 2 (except when sick or required to isolate). You can check your child’s attendance through our portal login whenever is convenient to you. Term 2 is an activity-packed journey, and we wouldn’t want anyone to miss out!

I intend to focus this term on our value of whanāukataka, as we are more able to come together to celebrate our mutual achievements, and display some of our learner’s amazing mahi.

He waka eke noa,

Kate Staniford
Tumuaki | Principal
